We received a call today from Thao at Holt and she said we are #22 on the waiting list. She said that means we should get our referral either in December or next March. Thao explained that the referral board in Thailand meets every 4 months. So every 4 months we will get an email letting us know our new number on the waiting list. I know that it is a long time away but I cannot express how excited I am to just be on the list! This is a huge step. God is so good we were originally told it would be about 1 1/2 till our referral so it's nice that it will probably only be a year at the most.
Now I can focus on getting all the grant applications done. I would appreciate prayer that we will qualify for some grants to help offset the cost of the adoption. I know most people are not going to be able to donate to our adoption but praying we get a grant is the best thing you can do as our friends.
